I do not know how you got it to sit still. Those cabbage whites flit around stop an nano second and are off again. We have heaps in our garden but I can never catch them. Nice shot.

@lwain Thanks! I had no luck with butterflies either for the whole summer. Perhaps it was paralyzed by cold :P

Oh wow, look at his checkered eye. Very good macro to be proud of. I was not lucky with butterfly shots up to know and have probably to wait for the next year. The noise is minimal and not disturbing, so ISO 1250 works quite well with your 60d.
