A Good Friend and a Glass of Wine...Well, one out of two isn't bad!

Tonight I went to a wine tasting at a local wine bar. I thought it would be a fun and cheap, $5 USD for 4 large samples of wine paired with food samples, way to get out of the house tonight. Didn't realize that I would be the only person there by themselves, but I am an independent soul so I didn't let the sea of couples and groups stop me from indulging in the delicious sparkling wines they were sampling.
I had taken a picture of a glass of wine last night that didn't turn out so well so i tried it again. I like this one much better. It is a wonderful sparkling shiraz from down under. I sat it in front of the candle on the table to create the glowing effect and then did a focal point black and white effect on it using Picasa. The lighting and red color is just how it appeared in the pic, just the BW was added later.
