My "Still Small Voice" Uses Visual Aides

photo 22
I was driving home after a long morning doing my Presidential duties for the student council, going through all the assignments, events, and "to do's" that must be done before I leave next month. I was sitting at a stoplight feeling very overwhelmed and wondering how I was going to get it all done in time when I looked over and saw this. A one way sign seemingly pointing to one of the massive downtown churches. Then it hit me. There is only one way. Turn all of it over to God and stop trying so hard to be the one in the driver's seat. You know I have always joked that with all the thoughts I have swirling around in my head, the "still small voice" I'm supposed to listen to would need a megaphone to get my attention. I guess God thought maybe even that wouldn't work so He decided to go with visual aides instead. =)

Just need to remember the verse that has gotten me through so much...I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil. 4:13

The medium is the message! One way...profound!

This is a great shot Sara! One Way, one Truth, one Life. Of course the way is through the man Jesus and not through any religion found in a building, but I totally understand what you are getting at in this picture. Great colour as well!

Nice catch, Ms. Sara. You're mind always has faith.

Thank you everyone! eIt is so refreshing to be able to post something like this and not be attacked or asked to change it. In education faith can b a thorny subject, even if you are a person who is open to other's and their cultures and ideas.
Kim, you are very right. The verse you are quoting is another one that I immediately thought of when I saw the church. That verse is always a comfort to me as well. ESpecially, when I am trying to do too much... I think of that one and know that my way to the father is not through all my activities and good deeds, it is through a close relationship with Jesus and that is where my heart should be focused. Again, thank you everyone for your positive comments. It is always such a treat to post a new image and know that 365 friends will always have a kind word and not be judgmental or harsh. It really is a highpoint in my day to interact with you all. Doing this project and having so many positive people on here has really helped me with all the things that I have been going through lately so I thank you all. =)

JFI...this photo is being used as an example for this week's theme "sign of the times" (under the discussion, theme). :0) It's funny cause when I was reading the theme I immediately thought about this photo and there it was as an example. Beautiful photo.
