Ok, so now what...

It is a officially official now...I am no longer just unemployed. I am now an unemployed teacher.
I'm glad you've kept your sense of humor. That ought to be worth something in these dark times.

YEAH! Congratulations! I was hoping that you would post a shot of your license. How's the application process going? Hang in there ...

Mission accomplished...you got the certificate...one step at a time...job forthcoming...sometimes districts get some surprise openings in July and August so keep on pluggin'...and call that FL school again to ask if anything has changed...what the heck...nothing to lose by doing that and they'll realize how serious you are! (I know they already know it but calll anyway ;-)

woohoo! Hopefully the job follows swiftly after.

Thanks everyone! Your well wishes and prayers are really appreciated! The job search is just horrible. 3 hours on one application the other day and then they send me a link to do a 35 minute long assessment and then they said that I needed to send some stuff to the state to evaluate my credentials...then I saw that to have my credentials reviewed would cost $177. I emailed the lady at the school district and told her that I really wanted to work for their district but being unemployed that was a lot of money since I haven't even interviewed yet. Especially, since I'd only apply for my license in that state if I got a job there b/c I'd be relocating just for the job. Haven't heard back yet but I hope they understand that being unemployed paying almost $200 before you even interview or get a conditional job offer is something that is not financially feasible . That would leave me with about $3 in my bank account. I mean if they said they will hire me provided I get the license, then I would figure out a way to pay for it...but I can't afford to pay that prior to the interview and not get the job. I really hope they still consider me because I'd really like to work there.
