Explorers have Friends Everywhere

This is our wall of people who believe in us. It is in the front of the class so no one ever doubts that they are special, loved, and believed in. There are many states in the USA represented here through postcards, letters, books, and other gifts and five other countries besides the USA. My kids love this wall so much, they love learning about the different places and that there are people all over the world that have learned about how awesome they are through their crazy teacher who just can't stop talking about them! Many of you have contributed to this wall and I get teary just trying to think of the words to describe how much that has meant to my babies and to me. It isn't just a reminder to them that they are loved and believed in each day, it is also a reminder to their sometimes overwhelmed teacher who often feels that she just isn't doing enough or that she is doing it all wrong. Anyone that wants to send an encouraging letter or email to my babies to add to the board before or during their big test next week, let me know and I'll send you the address or my email. Thanks again for all the support...there are so many days when the letters and donations came right at that point in time that I wanted to just sit down and cry until there were no tears left. God has used my classroom angels in so many ways this year and it is such a boost to see this physical representation of faith in our mission here and love from all over the world.
Great metaphor for the way you have expanded the horizons of your kiddos.

I would love to send them an encouraging word, do you have any from Kuwait yet?

ALSO, if I can find a way to ship them, I'd like to send them some "Kuwait decorated" school supplies!

Oh Sara, I'm so honored to be a friend to your explorers! And to have my letter on the map that your angels look at every day. I hope they and all future classes enjoy the books about my corner of the world. Never doubt yourself. You are doing such a fabulous job as a teacher. You remind me so much of my favorite teacher from elementary school. I'm 48 years old now, and Miss Curran (a brand new teacher like you) is still such an inspiration in my life. I became a writer because of her. I know that you are the same kind of inspiration to your students, sweet girl.

@lauriehiggins Well, thank you very much for those kind words. If I can ever inspire anyone to go beyond their dreams like that I will be a happy girl. We read the book about the disappearing island the other day and it fascinated them. =)
@pulguis Thank you! They are such a blessing to me and it is so easy to love them. =) You would fall in love if you ever got to meet them. =)
