Getting Crowded by sbolden

Getting Crowded

Well, it looks like 3 of the 4 have now hatched... But the first two are getting so big (born 5 & 6 days ago respectively) it is hard to see the newest arrival. Once the last egg hatches, it will be interesting to see how nature unfolds.
I think I missed the conversation thread, but have to ask - where are the parents? These photos are adorable.

It's very interesting, I never imagined that they would hatch so many days apart, I imagined that they would all hatch over 24 hours like when my hens sit on eggs. A great image - you are doing well documenting this. In NZ there is a lovely book written and photographed by Meg Lipscombe about a tui and her young.

@888rachel thanks Rachel. The parents are usually nearby but the first and second born are getting so big there isn't much room in the best for any lengthy stay.
