I think I'm in love with my macro lens (Sigma 105mm f/2.8).
This is just a small part of a dewy cobweb that I shot on my way to work this morning.
As I was driving along, I spotted a metal gate with a perfect cobweb on it, dripping with dew, so I slammed on the brakes, backed up & parked in the farmers field while I got muddy feet getting the shot. (At least, I think it was mud...)
As ever, the shot could have been sharper, but the dof in these macro images is so tiny, I was struggling to get a fast enough shutter speed to overcome the movement of the cobweb in the breeze. In hindsight I should have upped the ISO to get round this.
Like you, I was scrolling through photos and suddenly slammed on my brakes and went back when I spotted this photo! I've never considered the challenges of the depth of field inside a tiny dewdrop! Well done!
