When I was falling asleep last night, I was thinking about how long it will be until I can actually buy my camera. I'm looking at getting a Nikon 3100 (I think), and it's going to be about $600. Since I'm just starting a new job this week, obviously the camera is going to have to wait a while. Anyway, I was remembering that my dad used to have a pretty cool 35mm camera back in the day, and I got to wondering where it was. Since he's been gone since 1996, the thing hasn't been used in forever. SO I dug it out of my mom's closet today. Obviously it's old, but boyfriend has film for it, and we're going to clean it up, take it out and do some shooting with it. He has a studio and a dark room in his basement, and so he'll develop my prints for me and we'll see how well I learn without having the luxury of a digital screen to use as a reference! P.S. The camera is in perfect condition...I was just screwing around with the "Pic Monkey" editing tool on here since I upgraded to "Ace" membership. :)
