THIS SIGN SAYS IT ALL....

After passing this sign in a local shopping mall, I had to go back and take a photo.

In a local newspaper I read the following:

The great heat wave.
Provinces declared disaster zones: Kwa Zulu-Natal, Limpopo, North West, Mpumalanga and the Free State. Recorded red-hot temperatures In South Africa on Tuesday (4/1/2016) Bloemfontein (Free State) 40.8 (Highest ever)

I do n`t want them , even not in my car. For those few warm day`s we have
I do n`t want to invest money for it. +/- 6 Celc. to day . So sorry for all the people that`s troubled by you/the heat.

Better complain about the cold (as we do) than have to deal with extreme hot temperatures.

6 Degrees sound cold to me. My daughter in London also said it is cold there. Ha ha my son, visited us in this heat wave. He is going back to London tomorrow. Shame he is going to feel the drop in temperature!

I hope everyone finds some ways to keep cool, and a cool change comes through for you soon. Do you usually get long hot spells, or do they usually come and go quickly? (Ours seem to have a 7 day cycle, with the heat increasing steeply for 3 days before a cool change, then a gradual climb back up).

@alia_801 It is hot during December and January but this is unusual. We do get thunderstorms at about 4 pm in the afternoon to cool things off. This year about no rain since spring.

Your son will feel very cold when he gets back here.... This week they are predicting it will get much colder too... This happens here when we have very hot spells as well, everyone runs out to buy fans and air coolers and the shops sell out very quickly. I hope this weather breaks for you soon. No rain since spring? ...my goodness, do you water shortage problems too?
