@sdutoit Not too sure Sylvia, it could be Weavers judging by the opening. There are social Weavers that build very similar, except they are bunched closer together.
@sdutoit When I was in Africa I saw some nests similar to this and I think I was told they are weaver bird nests.I couldn't think of that when I first saw your photo.
@grammyn I Googled the weaver photos. It seems to be a weaver nest. I did learn something now. This tree grows on somebody else's land. I never saw any birds there when I looked at it. The only weaver nest I know is like the photo I placed on 2 February 2018.
@grammyn Wish I could offer you a cup of coffee now. My home is just behind that trees on the left. It is a bit to far for me to go and check them. Next time I will stop there. Thanks for what I learned now.
