Woke up this morning to the lovely throaty roar of a crop duster flying low overhead. He was sprinkling sterilized moths onto the citrus trees
sterilized moths??? I wonder how they sterilize them. I love the composition of this, great shot!

@beckyk365 Thanks Becky. I wondered too about how they sterilize them. I believe they have to be sterilized so they don't produce worms which would spoil the fruit, but yet the moths are necessary to control other pests such as aphids without using insecticides

@seacreature ahhh, thought it might be some sort of natural insect control. Aphids do alot of damage.

I think I'd be concerned if I suddenly saw a crop duster. Glad to know it wasn't actually dusting anything.
