Looking after Gail's office again for the next two weekends, so took Teddy along to play a bit. Tried using Gimp to blur the background - still need to figure out how to do the cutout bit the left of the image but for the rest I am reasonably happy with what I have learned. Looks a lot better than seeing a desk and back of a computer screen and part of a keyboard behind him
@anniesue Thanks Annie-Sue. It is great learning. When I finally start understanding what I am actually doing, then I can start applying it to my portrait photography!
@777margo Thanks so much Margo. And thanks for the fave. This was my one and only teddy when I was a child as there was no money in our family back then for the room full of toys I see my grandchildren having. So it was loved and cherished, and kept for my daughter when she was born (although my sister in law did give her a new and modern teddy too). Now my daughter and hubby wonder why I won't allow it to be given to the charity shop!
@777margo@anniesue Yes, Teddy stays with me for sure. Nobody is allowed to give him away! And I managed to improve my background blur so it is now almost perfect. What good practice and learning this has been.
