Going to have to put my thinking cap on and play with ideas for different rose photos from what I have done before, while the roses in the bunch I was given are still looking good. I love shooting roses, but this is just too ordinary!
@ludwigsdiana Thank you. I actually desaturated the colour in Lightroom and also reduced the vibrancy, to make it look softer. Just looked so pink and vibrant in my original, and that's not what I wanted tonight.
@beckyk365 Thanks Becky. No, not my black tile this time, but a black tablecloth I made for a halloween party when my daughter (now 29 years old) still lived at home many years ago.
@bf2016 Thanks Barbara. I think that is part of growing as a photographer - to try and adjust the colour to something that more resembles reality (I suppose if I was really clever I would have been able to set my camera up to more accurately reproduce the correct colours!)
