Champagne Jelly by seacreature

Champagne Jelly

My friends, Andrew and Cheryl, cooked for the yacht club last night. Desert was champagne jelly, really made with champagne. I got to bring some left overs home for dinner tonight as I helped with the meal (nothing fancy like actually cooking anything - just peeling carrots and potatoes and helping to serve)
Looks spectacular..

@narayani Thank you. Yes it did taste good. Was very refreshing after the big meal as it was "light" and not very sweet. But I guess if you don't like champagne you wouldn't like it. It tasted just like champagne as that is all it was really. Gelatine, which has no real flavour, softened and then mixed with champagne and left in the fridge to set into jelly. Even the white topping was gelatine mixed with champagne and some whipped cream. So it was really like drinking a glass of champagne with a spoon.

@anniesue The bubbles are literally champagne bubbles (or to be technically correct, sparkling wine, as it wasn't imported from Champagne, France.)
