Took Max and Charlie for a walk at the harbour this evening. There was a seal frolicking in the ocean below. What a good thing I was holding onto their leads - I think my dogs would have leapt straight in after the seal if I wasn't - and of course they would have been eaten if they hadn't drowned! But once they had seen the seal, and realised they weren't allowed to jump in, they didn't want to walk any more. Max in particular was glued to the spot, watching intently for the next place the seal was gong to pop up
@narayani I am not sure if a seal would eat these dogs but I wouldn't want to chance it. I saw a group of seals with a much smaller dog about the size of my Holly, or perhaps it was a cat, in the marina from my apartment window once. They were tossing it up in the air and catching it. I guess it was just too big to swallow like a fish. But it really upset me to witness it even though I know it is just nature.
