Leaf skeleton

When we were in the garden over the last few days, Rebecca found this beautiful leaf skeleton that had made it through the winter.

I love the intricate pattern, which looks like a river delta from the air. It just shows you how full of life and minute detail every single leaf, on every single tree is.

Oooo, I love this. From the thumbnail, it could have been so many other things - a dried out landscape, a network of pathways and roads, fine lace. The black and white brings real interest.

@esolvideosuk Thank you Jennie, yes, it really is a great find, thanks for the Fav. @annbo Thank you Ann, you are too kind. @zuzana Thank you Zuzana, yes, I was lucky that it made it through the winter. The lack of rain has probably preserved it.

Nice find! This is just so intricate it’s amazing. Nature never ceases to amaze me. It might sound odd, but even the storms we have are amazing in their own way.

That is wonderful, intricate detail that you have photographed so well. It makes me think of how most everything in nature, including the human circulatory system, is organized in fractals if you look closely enough.

@newbie @pocketmouse @babedol23 Thank you one and all. Stacey, a Macro lens is the best lens in the bag I think. Macro extensions do a similar job a lot cheaper.

@seanoneill I might just try that cheaper version, thanks.
