The Lily was shot from below and deliberately underexposed to darken the sky and prevent the flower getting burnt out. A regular strategy for me when shooting flowers particualrly on a very bright day.
When I first joined 365, I read the new users guide by shades of grey. One thing which stuck in my head is not to apologise for your own work as it can put people off. This is a great pic and the water droplets, top and bottom, make it appear really fresh. It's sharp, clear and that sky is an amazing blue!
Beautiful. I think this flower is really hard to photograph well but I love what you've done! The details, the graceful curving lines, the water droplets on the underside even... awesome capture.
