Today we took the short trip across to the National Arboretum in Staffordshire. This is home to the National Memorial to all members of the British Armed Forces killed in service since World War 2.
I was struck by this inscription, and the thought that had gone into the design of the memorial.
This is very moving, but I wonder how leap year affects the direction of the sun every 4th year? Is there a window or reflection where you can see the beam of light? Very cool.
@worthyglo@lizzy_lu123 Thank you. The shot is a bit of a trick on the eye. The sunlight comes through a gap between the text and the memorial to the left of it on the screen.
