I have been trying to capture this local field for about a week!!
The weather here has been horrible, but we popped out at luchtime to do some jobs and the sky brightened for a few minutes.
Thanks fo rall your wonderful feedback on my photos of the last week, it is truly inspiring. If you get a second, I would love you to take a peek at one of my favourite photos ever, in one of my other albums.
You have captured this from quite a different take to all the recent shots I have seen. Like the angle and that strong gold against the blue sky. Niice shot.
@myautofocuslife Thanks Livia, you always brighten my day with your comments, not that this particular one needs brightening, so I'll put my sunglasses on!!
@bobfoto I think so, you get a food grade oil from it. We call it Oil Seed Rape. It grows in the spring an ddoesn't need a lot of water, which we haven't had a lot of in recent months, so it has been planted everywhere this year!!
@seanoneill - where I grew up in the South of Australia we grew Canola because they felt that Rape Seed was a harsh name... and yes, it grows in marginal pastoral land with minimal water.
@simon0128 No I didn't Simon. I have a UV, and always underexpose by a couple of stops to get the dominant part of the shot to have a strong colour saturation. If it then needs tweaking in RAW or LR or PS it is mush easier to add exposure back in.
@zuzana I think if you viewed gritain from space at the moment a huge chunk of it will be yellow Zuzana. The countryside around me is awash with yellow. Thanks for your ever kind feedback.
