Beach Stones by seanoneill

Beach Stones

A shot I have wanted to take for a while.

I'm not 100% happy with it, but not a lot of time today.

The frame hasn't met with much positivity, so there is an unframed version in one of my other albums. People power ;))
That’s really cool have you’ve aligned them so the line is continuous!

Love this so simple and clean with the following line, beautiful :)

What a really cool creative idea. I probably would have put a different color frame around it but who cares, this is cool. FAV

@lisjam1 @fannyb @sailingmusic Thank you all, yes, the continuous line was on purpose. Thanks for the fav. I appreciate your comment about the framing, out of interest, what colour would you have done the frame? I rarely frame a shot, so it would be interesting to hear what colour you would use.

Nice shot, I also love the line which flows through the stones :)

Fabulous composition, Sean - love the continuous line thru the stones

So clever and so simple and effective! I love it. Fav!

cool, love the line up of lines

Re the frame a dark one, maybe the dark blue or brown tints!!

Love it Sean & the way you have composed this with the continuation. I personally would not have framed it if you ask & left the simplicity of the shot speak for itself. Still a fabulously simple photo!

Nice!

Love the diffent colors of your stones, and it's very well done !

What a neat idea! Very well executed. Love the simplicity of it. Beautiful colours in those stones.

Very cool! I like the white background. I made a heart from rocks in the summer by lining up the lines.

Great shot Sean I love these types of natural line and the colours in this one make at a +FAV for me..
I first saw this done by Keith Richards a few months ago and I have always fancied giving it a go but I am not sure I could ever do as well as this or Keith's shot here: http://365project.org/kaynadog/365/2012-06-14

Really love this. It's so beautifully composed. The lines are spectacular on the rocks. Really wonderful.
October 29th, 2012
oh very nice, awesome rocks and love your composition! I'm another not sold on the frame... I'd probably not had one at all, but can't offer another colour cos if I did frame (and as you know, I don't lol) then I'd have to play.... and I'd probably go thinner?

Great composition Sean, I love the lines too

Clever composition!!! Is the traveller back yet?

@ruthmouch His flight landed about 30 minutes ago Ruth, he will be home at about 8pm I guess. I can't wait to see him and here all about his adventures, I've missed him so much :) Thank you for asking, how thoughtful of you.
October 29th, 2012
@seanoneill Great!!!!!! I'm sure he'll have so much to tell!
October 29th, 2012
@ruthmouch For sure Ruth. He just called me so I heard hi svoice for the first time in 11 days. It sounds soppy, but I had tears in my eyes talking to him. Don't tell anyone!!!

What a great, creative shot. Love the simplicity of it and think it would make a great pic for the wall. I think the shot without a frame would work really well too.

Great light and airy feel, so nice amongst all the gloomy and grey weather out there at the moment!
October 30th, 2012
Lovely!!
October 30th, 2012
Love it! Were the stones really those colours?
October 30th, 2012
Love the lines and colours of the stones...like the white background too!!

Nicely arranged and shot/processed, Sean

Very cool shot - we call these "wishing stones" here. If you find one, you make a wish and throw it in the ocean.

I love it - but would've fav it twice if I could if it didn't have a border. I would love to see the stones and lines 'free' rather than 'framed'. I'm not a huge fan of borders - but that's a me thing. Love the subject matter and the way you composed them so that the lines run into each other.

@thebluegnu Thank you. Unframed version in my other album. I'm not a massive fan of borders either, there are probably less than 10 pics in all 700+ of mind that have a frame. I appreciate everyone's candour, and yours too. :))

Think I prefer the borderless one too, but maybe a thinner frame in a different colour?

love the simplicity in this one Sean
