My take on the November list for today's subject of Boots or Shoes.
I nearly popped into town and took a shot of our Boots the Chemist storefront before I decided to cross that line that no man should ever cross without a great deal of thought. I looked in my wife's shoe cupboard!!!
My very own Cinderella has had 2 very tough days at school with Ofsted in.
The school and Rebecca and her colleagues have come out of it well, which is great news.
This is one of the shoes that Rebecca had for her 40th birthday party a few years ago, when we had a casino and black tie event at our house. Rebecca looked like my very own Marilyn Monroe that night. I would never have thought of shooting deliberately out of focus before my 365 adventure started.
Thank you all for getting me onto the PP twice this week, it always thrills me when I see my shots, and those of my friends on the PP.
Fabulous bling Sean & the blur works perfectly making such lovely bokeh !!!! I love these different shots. When I first caught sight of this I thought you were out of focus big time but wow the result is stunning!
@kellyburke Almost certainly Kelly. We were the first kings of Ulster, and the Red Hand on the flag of Northern Ireland belonged to an O'Neill. We will always be royalty.
THE RED HAND!! I love that story. We had the family crest hung proudly over our door. My cousin's name is Rory....wasn't he a great king? Or was the the person who one the bet about "he whose hand first touces the land of Ireland shall rule.." So our ancestor (stubborn and fiercely smart) lopped off his hand and chucked it overboard onto the shore to ensure HE won????
Is just not a common spelling here in the US. Ironically, my boyfriend's family plot is immediately next to another O'Neill family's. hats how we knew it was fate. lol Id be planted between the two if we last that long!
@kellyburke That's about the size of it Kelly. It isn't disputed that it was an O'Neill, but there are several versions of the tale, so which of our forefathers it was is a little sketchy. I know it wasn't me, I have both hands still!
@kellyburke It is the most common spelling overhere, though it bugs me that in the day of the internet, anyone with an Irish name has to drop the apostrophe because the internet can't cope. I once met a very nice O'Neill at Passport control at Newark Airport! I was sent on my way with a smile....
