The wine route is well worth travelling, with lots of pretty towns and villages, lost of opportunities to stop and try wines, and lots of waymarked walks through vineyards.
With the Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Gewurztaminer grapes being less fashionable than their sister Chardonnay who resides in Burgundy, there are some beautiful wines to be had at incredible prices.
