This is a shot of Ratcliffe Power Station taken yesterday.
I was on my way home from a day with an old friend in the Peak District when I spotted that Ratcliffe was steaming heavily in the gloom. Knowing that "sunset" was a few minutes away, I quickly diverted to Long Lane and found a new vantage point to shoot from. The lights were just coming on at the Power Station.
Wow! Dark, satanic mills (OK, cooling towers :-D ) indeed! Yes, makes great viewing magnified - those clouds of vapour are almost solid and I love the line of lights under the towers.
