I had a meeting over near Melton Mowbray this morning. While driving back to the office I went through Asfordby and noticed how photogenic the church looked in the light.
I stopped for 10 minutes to take today's shots.
More shots to follow in my other albums.
Thanks for the great feedback on my shots over the last few days. I was awarded my 3000th Fav yesterday. It always delights me when someone likes one of my photos enough to fav it. I would never have dreamed that it would have happened 3000 times when I set out in this journey 2 years ago.
I am slowly catching up with all your projects again after the challenges of last week. I hope to be fully caught up by the end of the week.
Sean this is a fav for me. Love the b&w treatment and most especially the clouds behind it that look like they are radiating from the church. You spent a good ten minutes.
Congrats on all those faves Sean...I have only 800 & odd...you deserve them all.
Great looking church here & the wispy sky almost like heavenly rays coming out of the place.....lots of history there.
Congrats on your favs. Love the look of this, it's almost standing out of the shot and fab cloud look, streaming away. Is this effect just from wide angle lens or special processing.
@jennywren a bit if both Jen. By slightly under exposing the shot and using a circular polariser I was able to create a lot of detail in the sky. Then by processing in SFX Pro and using the full contrast preset it really lifts the detail out of the sky.
