The sky was so beautiful this morning. It is hard to believe how quickly this has turned to rain this afternoon.
I stopped here for a couple of minutes on my way to the office. I drove past one of my more regular landscape haunts on the way, but resisted the temptation to go somewhere different!
Sad news about the death of actor Roger Lloyd-Pack. The scene from Only Fools and Horses about his character Trigger's broom will live with me forever. Comic genius.
Sad news also about the death of Steve Evans, who had been on the Richard Bacon radio show several times in the last year talking about his battle with cancer. When I heard the last interview he gave to Richard on tuesday I confess that I sat in the car with tears streaming down my cheeks.
Have to say I thought of RLP and his broom when you posted your shot of the chap sweeping up . I wonder how many brooms he has used. Very sad , some iconic moments never to be repeated.
The tracks in the field lead you off into the distance, and once again a dramatic sky draws you In.
that's a great pic. I didn't realise Roger was ill. First thing I thought of when I read of his death was his broom, 27 years old and stil going. Great stuff.
I love this. Someone once told me that the best photographs have only three main elements and I think this is a perfect example of this with the track, the tree and the sky. Fav
Another stunning FAV! Brilliant processing! I love the sense of motion between the clouds and the tracks, and the POV, especially love the feel of the curve! Dynamic composition!
Funny that you find it hard to return to colour. You were the master of those colourful landscapes, but I must admit they look just as good, if not better in B&W.
The tracks in the field lead you off into the distance, and once again a dramatic sky draws you In.
Fav!
And yes, it was sad news .. bless them both
