Clipstone Colliery ~ 27 by seanoneill

Clipstone Colliery ~ 27

I still have rather a lot of photos of Clipstone Colliery and our week away in Sherwood Forest, so I am going to post these mostly for the next week or two.

I am just about caught up at work, one major project now put to bed, one to try and get some momentum going later this week.

I hope to start catching up with your projects now that things are settling down here.
I just love those windows in magnify! Great capture.

Like Lynn love the windows. The reflections, the broken panes. The history this image suggest. Loving this series.

Fantastic shot, Sean! Glad to see you posting again and hope it's a sign that life is really settling back into a regular pattern. This, as others noted already, is such a good example of urban decay -- broken windows, crumbling exterior. Very cool.

A sad business - a way of life, a culture, all gone. A rather astonishing cloud formation. Great stuff, Sean.

Very striking contrast with the reflections and broken panes, I wonder how a close up of just this element would of worked?

I see a face in the bottom circle. Great shot!

Fav. Love this, the composition is fantastic

This is quite remarkable. The top half looks like it was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and the bottom half is industrial grunge. Your presentation of the architecture deserves a fav.

The broken glass creates great shapes and also a feeling of industrial decay. I am loving these shots.
