Lewes's Plantation, Stanford Hills by seanoneill

Lewes's Plantation, Stanford Hills

A busy day of admin, a quick trip to Leicester, and now dashing off to Loughborough Grammar School for an evening of talks about higher education and the application process for University, which is the next stage in Sam's life. How exciting!

This shot is of Stanford Hills this afternoon. More to come later this evening if time permits.
Wow! Stunning landscape. Very dramatic sky! FAV!

You've got style, Sean. I was out shooting a building and kid you not, I thought "how would Sean O'Neill in his stripey shirt shoot this?"
March 24th, 2014
The lines in the field really lead the eye to the dramatic sky. Well captured. Fav
March 25th, 2014
just superb

Sean, I'm wandering in to say goodbye - I'm struggling to keep up anyway (not helped by my Flickr account going ballistic) and I am not going to cope with the new changes, so I'm going to give up on 365
March 25th, 2014
You must really come to life when clouds like these appear. The sky is dramatic in B&W, and the parallel lines very nice.

I revisited this one after seeing the color version, and decided I would add my fav to the crowd. Initially, I wanted the trees a bit off center, but I learned to like them this way. In B&W the dark parts of the sky look great. I think in color, those same dark parts are a bit exaggerated for my taste.

@rvwalker I have an off centre slightly different view I think. I will see if it works and post it in the next day or two. The colour is a bit exaggerated by the detail extractor, the blue is much darker than the reality. I know I said something in a similar vein last week, but I kind of knew that you would think that, and I know what you mean. I think it is a bit of a curate's egg, some parts are great, some aren't.

that is so dramatic, but I prefer the colour version.
March 25th, 2014
