Thank you for the response to my Nottingham shots from yesterday. The tram shot made the PP, and for the observant among you, the lady in the picture wouldn't take her eyes off me and my my camera. She probably thought I was some sort of geek taking pics of trams!!
I took the opportunity to walk around Nottingham's Lace Market area while I was in Nottingham. It is full of old lace factories now converted to bars, restaurants, offices and apartments. There are some great photo opportunities, and I will post several shots over the next few days.
I particularly like how many streets slope, and the majesty of the windows. The Lace Market area really gives me the opportunity to indulge my love of form and texture in B+W photos.
What a fabulous area this must be for you, Sean! Love the way the window trims across the road highlight to look like internal lights and the way we can see the lower floors lights inside. Nicely composed and finished.
Bit rushed at the moment, sean, so haven't been ablre to comment on all in the new series but just to let you know I am really enjoying them. It is good that these scenes are being recorded before Tesco or somebody moves in. Fav
