At the end of our week in North Yorkshire we packed the car up and headed off to Northumberland, via a night in Newcastle.
We stopped off at this National Trust Lighthouse at Souter, just north of Sunderland.
It was great to climb the lighthouse, where a volunteer allowed us to start it up!
So, from tomorrow, the next week of shots will feature the Angel of The North, the Northumberland coast, Hadrian's Wall, Carlisle Races and Edinburgh Zoo.
this is so familiar - we lived in Sunderland for a couple of years, so this was a regular Sunday walk up to fly kites and wander up the coast. So you're really in my old stamping ground here.
