It is a big day in the UK today, as our 18 year old children get their A level results.
Our son Sam has achieved his objective, and achieved the grades required to get a place at Exeter University to read Politics.
We cannot be more proud as parents. The end of 13 long years of education has culminated in Sam achieving the goals he set himself, enabling him to move onto the next chapter.
He is the most wonderful, loving, generous, sensitive young man. He is often too hard on himself, but if he uses that as a motivator, it will serve him well.
The next few weeks will pass in a blur as he prepares to leave the family home and head for more learning and new friendships and experiences.
Good luck to you Sam, we love you and are so proud to call you son.
A beautiful tribute to your hardworking son Sean. A levels are so much harder than GCSE 's so well done to all happy students today. We have been on tenterhooks this morning too as Lydia had to get an A & 2 B's to get a very scarce place to study Speech & Language Therapy at Manchester university so was much relief & jubilation when she got her place this morning!
@yrhenwr Thank you David, yes indeed, a big step, in fact several steps with this as he leaves home and learns to fend for himself, whilst making new friends and taking his education onto the next level.
Lovely tribute Sean. Good luck to Sam, and congrats on all his hard work. Our youngest has just finished his first year there, reading Law, very happy :)
