Standing at 110m, the Tour Perret in Amiens towers above the city.
It was designed by the architect Auguste Perret and therefore bears his name. Very self indulgent, especially as there appears to be a similarly named tower in Grenoble too!
It is residential and stands opposite the main railway station. The canopy in the top left of the photo is at the front of the railway station.
We stopped off in Amiens on our way back from the west of France. It was Rebecca's birthday so we did some sightseeing and had a lovely birthday meal in a restaurant on the banks of the River Somme.
