I'm not sure on HDR myself - suppose I'll have to give it a go. But this shot, WOW - such magnificent saturation in your colors and that reflection! Congrats!
I think this shot looks great in HDR the yellows are awesome. On the subject of HDR I think it’s very much a personal preference, what is great in one persons eyes is awful in anothers.
@lesphoto@achilleos@egad Thank you all, and for the Fav egad. I think I agree with you all, it depends on the shot and your own mood at the time. I am thrilled that you all like it. I saw these reflections and thought, wow, I can't wait to get back home and upload!!
Lovely view and I like the clouds. I'm not a fan of HDR myself but perhaps I've just never seen it done well. i think it's just one of those things that's personal choice - some people love it, some people hate it.
@annbo Blimey, I just read your other comment on my main shot and then popped over to this album. Photographers luck played a huge part here I think. Thanks ever so for the +Fav
I don't have a problem with HDR at all when it's done well, like you have here...anyway the people who tend to hate it are the ones who haven't tried it...it's all art whichever way you look at it and a personal preference so keep it up Sean if you like the results thats all that matters! :D
I would like to compare, see some shots side by side, one in HDR the other raw... I think HDR is cool for an illusional view and it's new... but my vote is still out as to whether I really accept that it's better. Saying that, I think most artistic types like to try new things, and progress from one stage to the next. Anything that stimulates creativity can't be all bad.
This is lovely, great colours and pov. I am not a great HDR fan but this works because it's not over done. Its all personal choice and some shots look great.
This is lovely, nice details and textures, and love those reflections! I think you did well with the HDR processing here, it's very easy to overdo it, but this is a nice job.
Saw this on PP....love it! The reflections in the puddle are wonderful. As to HDR.......if it is done to enhance the photo then ok, I find it can bring out details and textures. Of course there are times when nature has done it all for you! A fave for me!
I'm totally sold on HDR when it is done well. Certainly in this rubbish weather we're havng it helps liven colours! Like the reflection in this - great job!
I'm like you, undecided on HDR. I really like this and it works so well with the repetition of colour in the foreground thanks to the puddle reflection. I tried it in processing for the first time the other day on my swan about to jump in the river shot but I wasn't sure how I felt about it. Jury's still out I guess
