Just received my two lenses today. I have a Canon 50D camera and upgraded my lenses to a EF24-70/2.8L and EF70-200/2.8L IS II. I just took this quick picture tonight and taking the tripod out tomorrow to play. Will see how they measure up tomorrow. Picture taken in my kitchen.

Wow...so clear it's just like being in your kitchen. It's amazing what results can be achieved with quality equipment. My camera is fine, and I love it for a point and shoot ~ but, one of these days.....Like Fiona, I have a wish list!
Whoo! Go you! I always thought I would probably drop anything extra (and break it) if I decided to get fancy with my "equipment" so I just don't even go there, lol. Looking forward to your photos with your new toys!
What fun to have an upgrade like that! (I spent some time today in a camera store but only came home with a new filter.) Your picture this evening is lovely...I suppose you're the best judge of the change you can see between the lenses. The tripod is probably going to enhance the level of success as well, but such a lot of equipment, and not so good for the quickly passing moments in life! I look forward to seeing what you have to share with us, and your captions will be interesting as we'd like to have you share your thoughts about the upgrade!
