Stir Crazy by seattlite

Stir Crazy

Without going into great detail, I have two hair-line fractures on the third metatarsal of my right foot. I have an ankle boot and am supposed to rest for the next three weeks at which time I go back to my handsome dr for more xrays and evaluation. As you know from my photos, I'm an outdoor person. Being in the house unable to walk in the fresh air, is making me stir crazy. I know very little about still life photography... composition, lighting...but that is all I can post for now :). I don't want to get totally behind on 365. By the way, anyone who knows who the Seattle Seahawks are might be interested to know that the orthopedic clinic I'm going to takes care of the Seahawks' injuries so I'm in good hands. Thanks for your concern.
So sorry to read you are laid up! Hope you are back on your feet in no time! I love this shot, very nice lighting and b&w processing, Gloria.

Well dear, we have to take things the way they come, and don't worry that I'm sure you are going to learn still-life photography, just the way I had to. I guess everybody knew me flying from here to there, and I have been home since mid-September. I really hope you heal quickly from that injury, and I will be sending positive thoughts to you. Great to know you are in good hands.

Beautiful capture, so simple and yet so beautiful, love the lighting and the b&w. Hope you ankle is on the mend again soon. I know what the stir crazy feeling is like. I broke my ankle a couple of years ago and had to have plates and screws put in. I couldn't walk for 6 months and it nearly drove me mad.

Ouch! Sounds like a good time to take advantage of being laid up and practice still lifes. This looks like a great start. I often look to You Tube to see what other photographers have to say about particular subjects I am interested in learning more about. I hope it heals very soon. Fav!
