Sanderling

I matched my photo with my Puget Sound Region bird book and came up with Sanderling. The Sanderling is a shorebird. They run really fast along the beach so it was a challenge getting this shot :). I've seen these fast moving birds on the shore and have rarely been able to capture them. I like the way this one is framed by rocks and sea.
