At the end of my walk around Green Lake yesterday, I was feeling a bit dispirited for not seeing any blue herons to photograph. I had packed my camera away. Then a dragon fly flew around my head a couple of times and landed on a tall-thin reed on the shoreline. I quickly got my camera out and took this shot which is my first dragon fly shot.
