No Name

This 11-week-old long haired German Shepherd puppy was walking around Green Lake when I spotted her. Her owner said she hadn't decided on a name even though she has had her for two weeks. This shot was taken a week ago when the weather was great. The past few days have been rain, rain and rain. Thanks for stopping by.

Oh my... precious pup! Sometimes its hard to come up with the right name, sometimes easy. It took me a long time to name Katniss, partly because I had no intention of keeping her. She was Kitty Kitty, Miss Kitty and Mama Kitty. I couldn't find the right name that embodied her kind, confident, a survivor, beauty and regal qualities. Then I remembered The Hunger Games and chose Katniss, named after the female character with the same qualities. :)

She is so absolutely cute. I think she should be called Doris. We had a Doris once and although not a German shepherd she did have loads of character and I am sue this one will too.
