As I was looking southwest from the lower walking trail to get a shot of the fishermen, a huge Hyundai container ship came around the corner. Needless to say, it was quite a sight. The fishermen told me that they were fishing for salmon. This shot was taken last week. Enjoy your day.
The comparatively tiny people bring home the size of the ship and its containers. The bright red jumper on the man in the foreground and the bright blue one a little further along make links to the colours of the vessel and its cargo and pull the image together nicely.
Those bulk cargo carriers are so huge. Malta serves as a free port for many of them in the Mediterranean for distribution to mainland Europe. I wonder if the carrier disturbed the fish and angered the fisherman. Very nice shot.
@sangwann A few years ago I saw a bulk carrier from Malta in Puget Sound. It sat there for a few weeks. It was kind of surprising to see one so far from Malta.
@seattlite That's a great picture. I would have been so excited to see that in person. I should visit West Seattle more often.
