Elsa

Day 1 of a new 365 project! I successfully completed a 365 on this site in 2012/13 and had a great time doing it. I grew so much as a photographer that year! I also learned a tremendous amount about myself as an artist and as a human being. I decided that this was the year to start another project. I'm going easy on myself this time. If all I get on a day is a selfie or a quick shot from my phone, that's ok! The purpose this time around is to document a year of my life... no matter what that looks like!

This is my daughter Elsa. She is 7... She is compassionate and sweet, an artist in her own right. And for reasons that I'm sure will reveal themselves throughout this year of documentation, I believe her to be the bravest and most self aware person I have ever had the privilege of knowing! I am often in awe of the Universe and it's decision to entrust the raising of this amazing child to me!

She's a cutie! Why do little girls grow up so fast? Mine is now 22! Great photo!

same. I did my first 365 in 2011 and lost my way somewhat as photography turned into full time work. I took away my creative space and I decided to get back into this project now I carry my phone around and more document my life than create amazing photos.

So welcome back and enjoy the ride.
