This is what I found at the water's edge this morning - no sunrise 'cause of heavy clouds, but this totally made up for it! How he does this is way beyond my understanding....
@anazad511 - These are now fairly common along our waterfront - the fellow who does them does not use any aids to keep the rocks in place. I have seen a person at our National Exhibition in the late summer placing rocks such as these and larger on one another using nothing but a great sense of balance. Totally mesmerizing to watch. I was able to look very closely at this composition and there was nothing else in place to hold them there - not even other small stones!
Perfect knowledge of balance I can see how he did it by the say the rocks are balanced and the two bottom rocks supporting each other, but there is no doubt in my mind, this isn't easy. It is an intricate balance job.
