S for Seed Pods

At the moment my wisteria is laden with hanging seed pods. It's a bumper crop. They're all about 6 inches long or more and getting fatter with the growing seeds. I think they look so pretty at this stage and I want to go along and play them like a set of bells. I normally harvest the seeds and give them to friends to try and grow but also warn that it can take about 7 years for a wisteria to flower. It was difficult to get a half decent photo without the horrible breeze block wall in shot but that is why the wisteria is there - to hide it! Also tagging August word for today "garden".
Those pods look huge... are they?

@kvphoto most of them are 6 inches or so. Some years the pods are quite scrawny but this year they're really healthy.

They do remind me of bells or Christmas ornaments hanging from the branches.

@serendypyty well, you know how I love my Sci-fi! I wrote a story once about a species that grew in pods from the tree of life hence why I thought of it in your photo!
