There's nothing more beautiful than the colours of autumn and exploring them with my family. On Saturday I went with Hubby and my daughter to some nearby woods that are reknowned for the hundreds of red mushrooms (fly agaric) that grow there. Together with my family, the changing colour of the trees and these huge red mushrooms it was a hugely enjoyable trip. I'm extremely thankful!
You are the second person on my feed to post a photo of these mushrooms today! I have never even heard of them before and now all of a sudden two separate people have posted photos of them. I love the POV of this shot! I can’t believe how many of them there are! The photo is amazing and a FAV
Love the subject, love the perspective even more. So many of us either don't think to plop down on the ground or are unwilling to do so for a shot. They miss stuff like this. Bravo for suffering for your art!
@wakelys@casablanca I looked very hard for the fairies and pixies but they were well hidden. Apparently the mushrooms feed from the roots of silver birches and there were quite a few large fairy rings around the trees. I was in my element!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Aww thank you! That's very kind. I've never seen anything quite like it before. I can't believe I've only just discovered these woods.
@timerskine Thank you! I went prepared and took something to kneel on as I knew it would be wet on the ground. There was no way I wanted to get all muddy but I did creak a bit getting up again! 😆
