Fauna

A photo from the archives today - this little green Parakeet was spotted in our garden. I think it was a fledgling and resting for a while and very well camouflaged. It used to be very rare to see a Parakeet but they're becoming more and more common to the London & Kent areas.
Oh how interesting! When I was driving home a couple of days ago, I was surprised by two green parakeets swooping down and settling in a tree in a garden along the road. Never saw that before!

I have that same plant in my garden! Minus the parakeet of course! This is a beautiful shot of him especially as well camouflaged as he is

@30pics4jackiesdiamond This was taken in our Dartford garden before we moved and we regularly saw them. Haven't seen any here yet, maybe we're not urban enough.

@grammyn I've already bought one of these plants for my new garden. I love it and it stays in flower almost all year round.

@serendypyty I never noticed until you mentioned it but apparently mine does too. I have just transplanted stuff that has rooted instead of buying new

So the bird is wild, not just an escapee? How cool.

Wow! I didn't even notice him / her until I read your narrative. A great find and lovely photo, Cazzi! Fav

I didn't even see him at first, I thought you had your flora and fauna mixed up 😂

He chose the perfect place to hide from his parents!
