He missed the birth by one day. It crushed both him and his wife. They texted back and forth during the delivery so they could have a tiny thread of connection. He had two maore days of travel before he could get home on leave. He surprised her and showed up a day early. There wasnt a dry eye in the room. This is the first time he is meeting his daughter. It was an amazing moment to be a part of.
Oh wow Sara, such a moving picture, this can't be beaten !!! Congratulations to the new parents ! She will be very proud of her Dad ! A fave of course !
Amazingly moving shot! I'm all teared up! My husband served for 13 years and it would have crushed him to not be there for the births of our children which was always a possibility with the forces.
I am so moved by how many wonderful and touching comments that have been left. It was a beautiful moment for our family and I wasnt sure if what we were a part of could be captured on film. I believe now, it was. Thank you! I have been passing on the comments to my brother and his wife. They are forever thankful as well.
Dear God, please watch over this family and please keep daddy safe as he serves his country.
