This is the first photo I remember ever taking (I was 6 or 7 years old)...a couple random polaroids don't count.
I have no idea of the film or camera but it came out square! (I'm almost sure it wasn't a 110 camera)
I do know that it was my camera, not one my parents let me take a snap or two with. I have no idea where that camera is now though.
My family hiked to this spot on a regular basis when I was growing up and I love going back everytime I have the chance.
****EDIT****
I figured that it would be appropriate that my first photo be my last on here.....I have decided to move on and to concentrate on getting better. Thank you for the visit and I will be around to chat and keep up with people that I can't find anywhere else.
Critique welcomed and encouraged!
I personally believe that a persons's interpretation of the subject is, most times, more important and more... learn more
cool! nice trip down memory lane! i must remember to dig thru the photos when i visit my mom in June to see if i can find the giraffe photo i took when i was 7 or so :)
I just saw your comment on my picture! Where can I still follow your work? Will definitely miss ya on here, but I totally understand (and have had similar thoughts).
Going back to your roots - never a bad thing ! your shots have always intimidated me , hence never commenting but occasionally chuckling at the banter on threads ! I have kept my albumns specific to daily life and secondly overediting :-) and find a catharsis in the latter . I do , however think the days are numbered. Wishing you all the good fortune and pleasure that life can offer x
Well, I'm glad to meet you, hope you keep posting but without the demanding discipline of 365, the truth is hard to find time and sometimes the perfect picture to post, to me is having a hard time and only took 47 pictures, you carry more than 400, Congratulations and good luck in your new gaits.
This photo is a favorite with the feeling that it carries.
@glyn Wow! I would never have thought or set out to initimidate you or anybody with my shots or anything. I am taking that as a compliment,(which I hope means you liked them) but please in the future, comment on others shots. Don't let them intimidate you!
I'm glad you enjoyed the banter.
There is a certain catharsis to over editing...but mine are hidden away on a hard drive buried deep in my back yard! Kudos to you for being willing to show them off.
It was so nice of you to stop by my project and "paste" your farewell. :) It's been fun sharing with you as a fellow Montanan on 365. According to your description on this photo, I see you have been expressing your creative talent since childhood. My parents were not in to taking pictures and my first camera was a Swinger Polaroid when I was around 14. I've been a Canon gal ever since. Wishing you much success and if you come back to 365, I hope you will pay me a visit!
Man --- Brother ... I know I been way behind ... But I totally missed this one ... Really Hate That ... Hope you See this ... I seem to have misplaced something ... Troves of Treasures to You ... Peace Brother ...

Set up the same way, but it came out really blown out. I know the light is behind because of the shadows. I shall have another go!
@jodimuli Not sure I'm really up for doing another 365. I enjoy the community but I don't feel like I have the time to dedicate to the project. I do have a flickr page though, where I post.
@jackster Thank you! I appreciate it. I'm posting off and on on flickr. I decided this project just wasn't for me anymore I lurk on the discussion boards when I feel like I have something new to input (getting fewer and further between lately) I'll shoot you a link to my flickr if you're interested.
