Sorting out some haberdashery, I thought I'd attempt a white on white image, as I haven't done this for ages.
On Wednesday I was given a couple of bags of fabric and haberdashery, donated to Guides after a shop closure. Today I sorted through the second bag and found that as well as the promised zips - 40-50 of different sizes, there were buttons, beads, cotton reels and needles. The first bag is full of fabrics and I checked that one on the night. The plan is to make half of it up into stuff Guides can sell for funds, and use the rest for ourselves for our own nefarious uses.
There's also a huge crate of embroidery silks and tapestry wool in the roof space from the same source. Those I've partially put into kits for craft activities (friendship bracelets, Christmas decorations for this year's tree) before Christmas before hiding it all away for the time being.
Three good things:
1. My daughter is continuing to make her new jeans and I remembered how to put the rivets in without destroying any more than we needed.
2. There are several double ended zips in the zip stash, as well as matching zips and threads for the fabrics, so we can make bags for sale/presents/donation
3. In daylight the fabrics we selected to make donated goods all blend and work together well.
Thank you for looking and the lovely comments and favs on my pictures. I choose not to say thank you individually here, but look at your photos instead.
A wonderful white on white with great composition. Sounds as if you managed to snag a real treasure trove of stuff for the Guides!
