Remind me I don't ever want to do this again. This was a really fiddly make of swings from straws, blutack and sellotape, they do swing and the "children" are moving. The title comes from
England Swings which I remember singing as we swung as children, just to remind everyone that the
song title challenge has a week to run. Friday is blue in
Rainbow Challenge world, and this week we have paper clips because the
Dogwood 52 week challenge is focusing on stories from trash.
The effort to create movement to be captured by a slow(er) shutter speed was because my
Get Pushed Challenge from
@fbailey this week was:
"For your Get Pushed, how do you feel about attempting a faux IR photo effect? I initially used
this link
and got really addicted to IR as a result. I don't know if you use Photoshop or GIMP. If this doesn't appeal or doesn't look as if it will work for you because of post processing, how about the alternative of slow shutter speeds?"
Now I couldn't see how to make IR work in a rainbow month, with only one album, so this is my effort at slow shutter speeds. I did try a blue background, but it was too similar and dark to get a difference - the sky and ground are my own texture shots added in later.
Three good things (to be finished later):
1. Managed to provide salmon for lunch without objections from my daughter;
2. the swings are still standing several hours later, so not a bad job building them;
3. Delicious figs for supper (with cheese) and vegan Magnum ices
Thank you for looking and your amazing responses. I prefer to look at your pictures rather than thank you individually below.
I would never have thought to build a swing set out of straws- you are quite clever! Fun shot.
