1-1-11 Needle New Year

Space Needle, Seattle

One of the perks of my job - a warm place to watch the New Years fireworks. Yes, taken out the window of the conference room, not braving the cold at all this year. Tripod borrowed from a co-worker (thanks Doug), camera set to fireworks mode. First time I ever had the shots of this event come out even half way decent. That's how to start the New Year.

Lucky duck. Looks like it was a great display. Happy NewYear from down under.

Fantastic shot. Well done. We had about 8 friends here last night, cooking a 4-course meal together. Daft games, indoor fireworks, loads of dance music, so pushed all the furniture back and were leaping about.

What a great view from your job! I stayed inside because we had stormwinds, saw some rockets go off and turn, explode on the way back down. Swede's are crazy about doing this themselves and most people spend a weeks income on New Year fireworks. this is sooo much better, one great explosion for everyone to see!

I have fly over it but didn`t see any firework.
Happy New Year.

Wow I'm envious! A few friends invited me to spend NYE at the Needle but I opted out for fear of the cold. So I watched the display at home via King 5 instead. Glad that you were able to watch it from indoors!

Now that's what you call a firework display! Lucky you to have such a vantage point! Thanks for the follow lately, I've decided to take on another year and would be pleased to follow your pictures too. :-)

Sweet! Love the fireworks mode. I've used it a few times with taking pictures of Christmas lights when it has been extremely dark.
