Fiddling in Fields of Blue

In the yard, Seattle
year 2, day 189

Drove to work today so home earlier than usual. As I actually took the time to do a little weeding this last weekend I could actually see the plants when I came home. There is something about the emergence of the fern that is magical every time I see it; such a perfect shape as it unfolds to greet the world. This one lives in the front yard among the bluebells blooming right now giving it a great backdrop color.

Pretty little curl.

I had a bunch of fiddleheads for dinner the other night, are these the kind you can eat? Great contrasts in the colors.
