No shots taken today so another one from Saturday on my walk around Lake Union, the oarhouse at the Center for Wooden Boats. The center is a museum dedicated to preserving and documenting the maritime history of the Pacific Northwest. There are always a variety of boats here in a various stages of repair; everything from dugout canoes done in traditional Native American style to large maritime sailing ships. It's a fabulous resource for the region.
This cute little oarhouse sits out on one of the docks attached to the center. My son Thierry was sitting over my shoulder while I was editing shots and this was his choice for me to post.
Wonderful shot.
Don't they still have house boats, and in some cases, they look like the building pictured above? And wasn't there some flack about the house boat business some years back?
